| thinking of riding to laguna seca next weekend. but i am flirting with the idea of just buying tickets at the gate. is this a bad idea or should i sacrifice the 8.50 to ticket master and get them online.. also does anyone have any ideas for getting a paddock pass? i usually find someone selling them in the ramada parking lot. |

There will be tickets at the gate. You can get them at Costco now in Norhtern California for $59.99 for a pair of Sunday adult tickets. Kids 12 and under are free.
See you there...

wow tickets are cheap over there!
For Mugello I paid 130 euros for two days...then again Italy taxes are more than half! And even at such high prices, its still a full house. |

| I read, they were only selling three day passes for the last round in Spain. Supply and demand! |

Tickets are usually cheap this year, from what I've heard they aren't selling well at all. _________________ Support Peter Lenz!

$60 USD is cheap but is that for general admission or grandstand?
Phillip Island is $150 AUD ($131 USD) for a 3 day general admission pass. Grandstand seats start from $265 AUD ($231 USD).
I'd love to go to Laguna one year.
Do people just stay in the towns near the track or do you have campground fun/madness as well? |

Many people stay at the nearby towns, including Monterey which is just up the road. But Laguna Seca is surrounded by steep rolling hills, some of which are campsites. These include some motorhome campsites as well as many tents pitched on a hillside.
I've stayed the night a few times in the archery campground over the hill from the track. They have a big tractor-trailer rig that converts into a bunch of showers, so it isn't like normal camping. I've been situated to sit outside my tent chit-chatting with neighboring tents, but if you prefer you can find entertainment in the camps too. I think some bands were playing to smallish-but-decent crowds. And some race DVDs were being looped too.
But to call it madness would be a stretch. Maybe at the campsites I didn't stay at. Nothing like the stories I hear of the Spanish races, where kids are bumping their rev limiters at 2am and disco music blares. |

I'm going down tomorrow morning and camping at the track for the duration in the Archery camping area.
I'm going to look for Paddock Passes at The Embassy Suites where Will Call is held, and failing that, I'll go over to the UPS store which is supposed to have them also.
We all get together at a 5th wheel trailer called the Love Shack overlooking the Corkscrew.
Saturday afternoon I'll be down on Cannery Row, probably at Sly McFlys.

Too many personal, life changing issues this year. I would love to meet up with some of you guys at Laguna. Want paddock access so I can take some pics for my own collection. _________________ Past: 2008 CBR 600RR

Malaysia is even cheaper, all three days for 30USD. Just make sure you bring hearing protection for the grandstand.
