I’ll shrink ‘em down later, but I was lazy and he was excited to get them up. He’ll let you know the true Ro2 trials and tribulations he went through to get them to me. Heroic. Epic even….
it was amazing to have an american one two on the podium especially considering rossi’s last minute charge on colin. hearing the american anthem at laguna seca on motogp’s virgin stop in america was really something else. grown men stood around with tears in their eyes.
all four american riders were fantastic with the fans. i visited the paddock after the morning warmup and was really surprised to see nicky, hopper, krjr, and colin still chatting it up with the folks. colin was a blast all weekend.
bayliss is a very cool guy. funny thing, i got his autograph on the back of a ducati catalog and said “we miss you on ducati island, man” and he whispered “me too”. heh.
tamada never came out, but nakano did and seemed as nice as he does in the interviews.
the europeans, on the other hand, were pretty reserved and almost rude. the only nifty guy was checa (well, we never got to meet capirossi, despite the fact that he was going to be at Ducati Island, but apparently he got sick). anyway, i ran into sete today almost literally, he was scurrying across so fast. melandri never really came out and when he was seen he was scowling. weird. i think after the first practice they realized “oh shit, this is one tough racetrack” and knew the americans would have a huge advantage.
i think next year is going to be VERY interesting now that they know what to expect although as colin pointed out, it takes a long time to learn the secrets of the track.
i’ll post a full After Action Report later tonight along with some choice images. right now my 5 year old son is bugging me to hang out. he likes his #46 1:12 scale yamaKa
OH boy, OH BOY. Looks like the top tippers are vale krishnas, me included. Really, i didn’t expect somebody would challenge him. But looks like we all agreed on podium 1 point. And current leader got none Jules, what were your tips, man
It’s a new day, monday. I go to city to get some things done. And sing the song “have a little faith in me” - Nicky did a great job. More to come? If I remember correctly, it took 3 years in 500cc with Mick Doohan to get his first win.
I love that sport

What a great event… I loved it, and I loved the result. And watching MotoGP for breakfast is a truly first class way to start the day.
Pushing hard on the bicycle on my way to the office in the wet I was truly an urban racer

Man I picked 1. Hayden, Podium: Vale and DNF: Bayliss. So if I didn’t get any points I’m gonna have to debug some code!

“Your tips
You didn’t get any tips in for this round. Naughty!”
